One of my favorite parts about being a Pittsburgh newborn photographer is getting to see families bring not just their new baby, but the heart of their family story into the studio. For this sweet session, that meant welcoming not only a brand-new little one, but also their loyal wiener dog — the very first “baby” in the family.

The morning was filled with laughter as mom and dad cuddled their newborn while their pup proudly stood nearby. Dogs are often a baby’s very first best friend, and including them in the session made the portraits even more meaningful. The wiener dog sat perfectly for his turn in front of the camera — and yes, he stole the spotlight more than once!
